Readers are encouraged to contribute articles, essays or poems with a Northumbrian theme for publication on this Website. These may be fiction or non-fiction. The use of dialect is always welcomed but not necessary for acceptance.

Guidelines for submitting contributions

To submit an article, essay or poem, simply email it to us at andy@northumbrian-words.com making sure you include your name and email address.

Written submissions must be sent as MS Word, Apple Page, Google Docs or pdf files.

Images should sent as jpg files.

Submissions will not be used for profit and all rights will remain with the author.

Essays should be double-spaced with a font size no smaller than 11 point. The length of the essay should be between 300 and 1500 words.

By submitting work, you are granting permission for it to be published on this website.

Publication is at the sole discretion of the website administrator.
